A few people asked for a step-by-step animation process.
I’mnot too fond of doing these, as I’m still learning myself -
but hopefullythis is kind of helpful?

So here’s what I do for animation taken from a reference.

1st image: The reference. (Taken from BeyondSlowMotion)
The footage cut before the entire action of the dog jumping ended, so I’m taking info for the landing from a later clip.
This action is all done straight ahead.
So I’d put my keysdown one after the other, quite rough – until I get something like this (1st image)

2nd Image: Next I’ll go back into it, arrange the keys apart to create some contrast in the timing, and rough it out a little bit more. Taking note of arcs etc…

3rd Image: Then I would do my clean up. Still doing some adjustments on timing

4th Image: I’d put in the colour and shadows, and would then export .png sequences of this from TVP.

5th and final image: I’d bring these sequences into after effects, and add camera movement/lighting/colour adjusting etc…
Then import video frames to layers in photoshop, and save as a .gif! :) (Lost a good bit of quality on the final gif..)

At a promotional event for Final Fantasy Type-0 HD in Hong Kong, Square Enix released early concept artwork for the next title in the Final Fantasy Type subseries, currently in development under the code name Type-Next.

Director Hajime Tabata began work on Type-Next after Type-0 was released in 2011, but work has since halted due to his directorial involvement in Final Fantasy XV.

The subseries’ flagship title, Final Fantasy Type-0, was originally titled Final Fantasy Agito XIII, a sister title to Final Fantasy XIII. Square Enix changed the name in 2011 after noting that the game had so little in common to warrant the XIII numeral. The titles Type-1, Type-2, and Type-3 were also trademarked due to Tabata’s desire to create multiple Type games.
